First John Deere was purchased, a 1979 310-A rubber tire loader backhoe. During the first year most of the work performed was plastic distribution.
Continued to expand. Many well lines, including 4-8" main lines were completed.
Started pipeline replacement sections up to 30".
Continued company growth. Lines were laid for Oxidental in coal bed methane.
In these formative years, RLI expanded greatly in its capabilities in commercial development.
The RLI team keeps busy working for Antero and Chesapeake.
The RLI team completes projects for Petroleum Development Corp and Dominion.

Ronald Lane Pipeline Construction was started as a two man operation in Calhoun County, WV
First steel Job. 5 Miles of 4" Steel pipe.
Began laying larger pipe construction of cross country 8-12" Lines.
24" Steel pipeline sub-contracted in Leesburg, VA
Various cross-country steel lines were laid in Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky and parts of Southern WV.
RLI begins extensive pipeline and development work in the Marcellus Shale region.
RLI opened its permanent Clarksburg, WV facility.
RLI relocated it's corporate headquarters from Arnoldsburg, WV to Clarksburg, WV.

In 1979 in Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, L&L Pipeline began as a sole proprietorship with “a few pickup trucks, plastic tools and a big dream.” Within two years, the hard work and dedication of a few Ronald Lane employees who are still with us today sparked the company’s growth from a small proprietorship to a partnership, and ultimately to a corporation. Currently with over 100,000 sq ft. of facilities in four separate locations, L&L Pipeline has served the oil and gas industry for 37 years in West Virginia and surrounding states.
In spite of our growth, we’ve never lost sight of our family based values.
